We'll meet tomorrow night, Wednesday, February 23rd, at 6pm to discuss What is Lent?

 Acolyte for Sunday, Feb. 27th is Ruby Christian.

Heads Up!  Wednesday, March 9th, at 6pm the Confirmation Youth & Hi Leaguers prepare, serve, and clean up the first LENTEN SUPPER.  Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup are on the menu.  We'll need lots of help, so please arrive early!  Worship will be at 7pm.

Noah's Ark. Buena Vista.  Kids going into 8th Grade and older.

Cost $350  (Financial help is always available). Sign up with $50 Deposit

We will also hope to have a Northern Minnesota camping/canoeing trip in early August for middle school youth.

We have been missing many of you during worship and Sunday School.  

You are now expected to be here unless you are staying away because of Covid.

This Sunday, we will not have Sunday School Confirmation, but we hope that you all can go bowling after church.

We have a fun bowling & pizza event happening on Sunday, February 27th, at 11am at Club 53 here in Amery.  

Please let us know by Wednesday, February 23rd, if you plan to be there.  

You can invite friends. 

Please bring a free-will offering to help cover the cost of bowling & pizza.

 

Tomorrow we will talk about Lent and we will watch parts of the movie The Passion of the Christ.

I will fast forward the disturbing parts.

Give us this day our daily bread. What does this mean? God certainly gives daily bread to everyone without our prayers, even to all evil people, but we pray in this petition that God would lead us to realize this and to receive our daily bread with thanksgiving. What is meant by daily bread? Daily bread includes everything that has to do with the support and needs of the body, such as food, drink, clothing, shoes, house, home, land, animals, money, goods, a devout husband or wife, devout children, devout workers, devout and faithful rulers, good government, good weather, peace, health, self control, good reputation, good friends, faithful neighbors, and the like.

Update: February 8th 2022

Tomorrow night, Wednesday, February 9th, we'll have PIZZA, POPCORN, A CRAFT, and GAMES from 5:30-8pm.  Please come and join the fun!  There will not be a regular Confirmation class, but Confirmands are encouraged to come and help the younger kids with their craft and playing games.  We hope to see you all there!

Hi, Confirmation Families,

Watch for another email about Sunday, February 6th, and Open Gym at school for ALL SUNDAY SCHOOL and CONFIRMATION KIDS!  

 

Join the fun next Wednesday, February 9th, at 5:30pm for PIZZA, POPCORN, and GAMES!  This event is for everyone including Sunday School kids, Confirmation kids, adults.... (No regular Confirmation and No MENTOR NIGHT for Feb. 9th.)
