Hello Confirmation Families!

We'll have confirmation again tomorrow night at 7:00; you can find the link in the email that was sent to you (Didn't get the email? Let me know.). If you haven't already, please text or email me a photo of your confirmand when they were a baby, and bonus points if it's a photo of their baptism day!  Also, confirmation at home is ready for viewing here or on the app. 

Speaking of photos, we'd like for you to send in a current family photo for us to use for Sunday's worship! Here's the original message Pr. Tim sent out last week: 

   This Sunday, we will hear about the church being at your home.  With that mindset, we have a request for you. Can you please take a picture of yourselves at home and text it to Liz or Pastor before May 1.  We want to put another music video together with all the pictures that we receive.  We may not be together physically, but we can be together in God's Spirit. So send us a picture, inside or outside.  You can be working, playing, eating, cooking, relaxing or just taking a selfie.  We look forward to seeing your photos and celebrating our church family. Please text a picture as soon as you can, but before May 1.

I've got a fun family activity in the works that will get you out of the house and exploring some parks in Amery...stay tuned for that!

April 22nd

Hello Confirmation Families!

My apologies for not sending this out yesterday...time got away from me!

Zoom confirmation went really well last week and I'd like to meet again tonight at 7:00 (zoom link below)!  For next week's confirmation Zoom, I'd love to get baby pictures of the kids for an activity...even better if they are their baptism photos (if they were baptized as a baby, that is). You can email the photos to the church or me.

This coming Sunday's at home confirmation has been posted online. Remember it exists to facilitate faith conversations at home. You could also check out the Sunday School at home activities...they might seem like they're just for little kids, but I think some of the activities would be fun for any age! Both items can be found on the app, too, under the Youth/Sunday School pages.

Hello Confirmation Families-

Our at home Confirmation for April 19th is ready to go--check it out here or on the app!

I think it'd be fun to do a Zoom confirmation meeting tomorrow night at 7:00. I'll attach the link and password in the email version of this update (if you didn't receive an email, please contact me).

What are some other things--if any--that you'd like from me or the church during this time of Social Distancing? If Zoom goes well tomorrow we can certainly continue that. Any ideas are welcome!

April 7th

Hello Confirmation Families!

It's Holy Week and we so wish we could all be together at church. But, unfortunately, that's not our reality right now. I hope you've been able to come together as a family on Sundays and Wednesdays to worship together during this Lenten season, and maybe even tried out the Faith 5 Lessons for confirmation at home. 

For the next 8 weeks I'm going to be utilizing a resource from The Bible Project (a Bible video education platform) for at home confirmation. During this pandemic they are putting out a weekly "Church at Home" family Bible study of sorts. Each lesson includes a Bible video, a brief audio message from one of their creators, a few scripture passages, and a handful of discussion questions. 

I also want to draw your attention to a feature on our app called Faith Lens. If you scroll down on the home page and click "ELCA" and then "ELCA Faith Lens", there is a weekly blog/Bible discussion directed to teens. It includes a few devotion-like paragraphs, some reflection questions, Bible verses that correspond with the same Bible verses we are hearing on Sundays, a Gospel reflection, activity suggestions, and a closing prayer. I'll also link to it on the at home confirmation page.
